To help our less skilled members improve, perhaps we can create an apprentice system similar to the one on Smogon. Basically, there would be "rounds" of around one month, in which a tutor and an apprentice are paired up. At meetings, or through PMs on the forum, they could work together to improve skills. Every month, tutor/apprentice pairs are reassigned, allowing members to learn tricks from different tutors.

Right now in meetings, what's been happening is that players are really challenging others of around their level. That works for competition, but to improve our skills for inter-school competition I think we should try the tutor/apprentice system.

*Another thing that would help is to get in the habit of recording games and posting them so other members can analyze them.

This sounds like an excellent idea. As we finish the tournament up/knock people out of it, we can set up pairs for those knocked out.

Perhaps we can start it this meeting.

If you would like to sign up, you can also post in the appropriate topic.
